Government Acquisitions Subject Matter Expert


Job Description:
The Acquisition Subject Matter Expert will be responsible for providing acquisition support to a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Program Office overseeing a large contract with high visibility. Overall responsibilities include contract management of an existing contract and the evaluation, source selection, and contract management of a large follow-on contract.

Expertise needed includes, but is not limited to, development of:
• Acquisition Strategy
• Statements of Work
• Requests for Proposal/Information
• SIR Packages and Amendments
• CDRL/DID Research and Preparation
• Cost Analysis/Independent Government Cost Estimating
• Cost Proposal Evaluation and Documentation
• Task Order Proposals and Evaluation

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Managing all support provided to the FAA Program Office
• Participating in program/project management discussions including Program Management meetings and reviews
• Task Order contract monitoring and control

Qualified applicants must possess the following skills and qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of experience
• Familiarity with the FAA’s Acquisition Management System (AMS) and acquisition best practices
• Strong writing, communication, proofreading, and editing skills
• Comfortable working on-site with government customers
• Experience in facilitating and writing reports for technical proposal evaluation activities
• Proficiency in the use of MS Office applications
